KLA-Tencor Corporation is the world's leading supplier of process control and yield management solutions for the semiconductor and related microelectronics industries. The company's comprehensive portfolio of products, software, analysis, services and expertise is designed to help IC manufacturers manage yield throughout the entire wafer fabrication process-from R&D to final yield analysis. We are planning to visit its corporate site/system integration center at Milpitas, California.

HP labs (http://www.hpl.hp.com/) is a leading industrial research labs in the world. It is Hewlett-Packard's central research organization, HP Labs' job is to invent for the company's future. It has fueled HP's growth
through technological inventions and innovations, from thermal inkjet  printing to the world's first scalable, programmable Utility Data Center solution. Among early contributions are the pocket scientific calculator,
light-emitting diodes, thermal inkjet printing, precision architecture RISC technology, the AltaVista search engine and the first pocket computer with desktop performance. And many more recent technological innovations, come
and learn more from its demo labs.

NASA Ames Research Center NASA Ames Research Center is located at Moffett Field, California in the heart of Silicon Valley. Ames was founded December 20, 1939 as an aircraft research laboratory by the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics and in 1958 became part of National Aeronautics and Space Administration. Ames specializes in research geared toward creating new knowledge and new technologies that span the spectrum of NASA interests. We will  visit its Mars Center, which features interactive displays and exhibits focused on Mars, the Mars Exploration Rover mission and Ames' scientific and engineering roles in Mars missions - both past and present. Also visit shows of software tools used by planetary scientists to determine the best and safest sites for the Mars Exploration Rover landings.  

Stanford University We will be visiting four labs including three ME labs -- the New Mechanical Engineering Research Lab, Micro-scale Mechanical Engineering Lab, and Neuro-muscular Biomechanics Lab; one EE lab -- Micro-transducers, Micro-machining, Biomedical Engineering Lab.
